Tune Dogs Perform for Jimmy Carter.
Author: SEBA Board of Directors (May 30, 2008)

Long time SEBA member John Kelly, when he’s not jamming on the banjo somewhere, performs orthopedic surgery in the Atlanta area as his day job.
Recently, he and the Tune Dogs (see SEBA Member Band Page) hauled their wagon load of dancing fun down to Plains Georgia to perform southern old-time banjo and fiddle tunes for former President Jimmy and Rosalynn Carter at the Carter Center Supporters annual gathering and square dance.

Affectionately known as “Ole Doc Bones” among his many friends, admirers, and fellow SEBA members; Kelly is a regular at 2nd Sunday SEBA central jams every month. He also donates time, talent, and surgical skills to an annual surgical mission to Comayagua, Honduras. He annually organizes a group of medical professionals and collects supplies in support of Saint Benedict Joseph Hospital and Light of the World Charities. This year’s medical mission is scheduled for June 21 thru 28, 2008.
Kelly has compiled several highly recommend jam tune CDs, great for beginners and experts alike that are available on his web site, TheTuneDogs.com. Proceeds benefit the medical mission, so buy some if you are able.
