From the banks of the Tennesssee River at Chattanooga, TIMBRE FOX is new
group blending traditional, folk, bluegrass and versatility to form their
own brand of good music. Easy on the ears, heart and soul, you will enjoy
their harmonies and lively tunes.
Born and raised in the shadow of Lookout Mountain, Laura Walker has been
playing and singing for 30 years. A 15-year veteran of The Dismembered
Tennesseans, she plays upright bass with a strong lead voice and right on
harmonies. Laura loves to mesmerize audiences with her vocal
versatilityand Timbre Fox is a great showcase for her voice and her rhythm
guitar.
Hailing from northern Florida, Owen Saunders, the last of the long bow
fiddle players, has toured with bluegrass greats such as Ralph Stanley,
Doyle Lawson, James King and many more. His smooth touch on the fiddle
gives his music a taste of Ireland and the lonesome sounds of
Appalachia.
California born, Daniel Parkin comes from a musical family in East
Tennessee. With his unique guitar style and powerful voice, Daniel
inherited tremendous songwriting skills from his mother. Daniel penned
and performed Palm of His Hand, a powerful song of faith featured in the
multiple award winning, oscar nominated movie, Winter’s Bone. He
continues to command audiences with his beautiful voice and original
songs.
Minnesota native Dean Arnold is an accomplished mandolin player and an
excellent singer. He has lent his skills to several different groups and
styles of music. He brings a solid rhythm, lead and harmonies vocal and a
can-do attitude to Timbre Fox. A popular teacher at The Folk School of
Chattanooga, he gives confidence as well as his knowledge to his many
students.
