Borrowed Time
About Borrowed Time
Borrowed Time has a love for bluegrass music and a mix of country and
gospel with a
bluegrass feel to it. We have many musician friends to draw from that would make us suitable for most any venue.
Please contact us concerning any festival, or other musical event need you may have.
Guitar/Banjo/Vocals: LOWELL BICE
Lowell started playing bluegrass in the 1970’s, then shifted to life's other priorities and didn’t play for more than 20 years. He picked up the banjo, bought another guitar, and returned to play again. Born, raised, and still lives in "Grassy Creek", Tennessee, right next to the Georgia/Tennessee state line.
Mandolin/Bass/Vocals: BETH PERRY
Beth, who learned to sing harmony with her family when she was a child, had played classical piano for many years before she discovered bluegrass. She also discovered an affinity for the mandolin, which is now her instrument of choice. She still plays piano with the Wildwood Chamber Trio in Atlanta, where she lives, but her real love is bluegrass.
Bass/Dobro: JAMES SLUDER
James grew up in a musical family, listening to his parents play and sing in church, and was already continuing the tradition by the time he was in his teens. After a stint on keyboard and drums, with a local band in the late 1960’s and early 1970’s, he moved on to play bass, guitar and dobro with several gospel and bluegrass groups. He has lived in Blue Ridge, Georgia all his life and has no plans to change that.
