We are dedicated to the preservation of old time bluegrass music. We host local concerts, invite local bands, record the music and play it on our weekly radio show and offer it on our web site.

Society for the Preservation of Bluegrass Music of America
The corporate charter states that the goals of SPBGMA are:

To offer a management service for any community desiring to hold a Bluegrass festival,
To organize and conduct Bluegrass Band competitions,
In all SPBGMA sponsored events, instruments must be traditional acoustic instruments, no electrified instruments permitted,
To encourage professionalism in appearance and showmanship by the performers at SPBGMA events,
To encourage the support of various Bluegrass publications and associations.
Southern Wisconsin Bluegrass Music Association, Inc.
SWBMAI promotes bluegrass music in Wisconsin and the Midwest. Since it’s founding as a non-profit organization in 1983, our membership has grown to several hundred pickers and fans from southern Wisconsin and neighboring states.
Western Ohio Bluegrass Association
WOBA will be holding their first annual mini fiddling contest. It will be held on Sept 7th, the first day of the Bluegrass In the Cornfield festival sept 7-10 2011. There will be cash prizes. Entry is free with paid admission to the festival. There will be youth, adult and championship divisions. Entrys close at 6:30 pm. The contest begins at 7pm. The annual bean supper begins at 5pm.
